Employer Provided Coverage
Employer provided Life Insurance is well intended, but is filled with continuous misinterpretations to a company's employees. When life insurance is provided through someone’s work, it is is OFTEN a false sense of security…
Your job does not care about you as much as you think. It is the sad truth when it comes to benefits and more specifically being responsible for getting a life insurance company to pay a large sum of money to their employee when the quality of it is low. When you don't own your own insurance policy there are countless reasons for a company to not follow through with their promise. Some of the most common frustrations group life policy owners deal with are:
1. Leaving your job or being fired: Yes, if you get laid off, or want to get a new job your coverage is terminated and you will have to qualify for your own at a potentially higher price and risk than what you can have when you first started working.
2. Becoming disabled: Personal life insurance is actually designed to help support your family even in the chance that you become disabled such as Chronic, Critical, and Terminal illness. When you get diagnosed on the job, they usually say “Go home and get better, come back to work when you feel okay”. We want to make sure that if you were to get sick - such as cancer- you don’t lose your coverage in a time of need. If you don't have individual insurance, group life pretty much means, "good luck".
3. Procrastination: 29% of all clients that I talk to have expressed their frustration in some form whether that be waiting too long due to age, or health decline - the longer you wait the more you will pay!
Since my sophomore year in college, I have helped over 750 families get qualified for the coverage they deserve. I know first hand what it looks like for a family to be left uninsured - and more importantly, I know how to never let it happen again.
How can we get you on the right track? Working with an Independent broker isn’t bound to one company. Typically being self employed and having the privilege of showing you the best companies you qualify for.
Choice and Options: Independent agents typically work with multiple insurance companies, offering you a broader range of options. They can help you compare policies from different providers to find the best fit for your needs and budget.
Personalized Service: Independent agents often provide personalized service tailored to your specific situation. They can assess your individual needs and recommend policies that suit your unique circumstances.
Advocacy: Since independent agents don't work for any single insurance company, they can act as your advocate. They're motivated to find the best coverage for you rather than promoting a specific company's products.
Expertise and Guidance: Independent agents are knowledgeable about various insurance products and can offer valuable guidance throughout the process. They can explain complex policy details in a way that's easy to understand, helping you make informed decisions.
Long-Term Relationship: Independent agents often prioritize building long-term relationships with their clients. They can provide ongoing support, review your coverage periodically, and make adjustments as your needs change over time.
Claims Assistance: In the unfortunate event that you need to file a claim, independent agents can assist you through the process. They can help navigate any challenges and ensure you receive the support you're entitled to from the insurance company.
Overall, working with an independent life insurance agent can offer you more options, personalized service, and ongoing support compared to buying insurance directly from a single company or through other channels
